These boots are made for walking…
And that’s just what they’ll do.
One of these days these boots
are gonna walk all over you.

She was a Maverick — she had to be.

Those good old boys had the rules and the “code.”  Women need not to apply.  She was rejected nine times.  But this cat had ten lives.

And she wore boots.

She changed the rules.

Thor vs. Loki 2

Thor: The Dark World will have some Thrones-esque tonation reportedly, as Thrones executive producer Alan Taylor directed it.  Lemme tell ya anything Thrones related, and I’m all for it.

SPOILERS:

SDCC’s Thor sizzle reel concluded with Loki severing Thor’s right hand.  Which run’s obvious comparisons to the Kinglsayer himself, Ser Jaime Lannister.

Quote1I can’t say too much more about it. But I will tell you that’s not the worst thing that he has to worry about along the way,Quote2 said Hemsworth.

Honestly if you aren’t a Thrones fan by now I’m just gonna throw this out there but, something is wrong with you.  @kevfeige #themanhimself  is said to be a rampant Thrones fan and I’m not gonna hold it against the guy.  It’s a quality show.

Minding the Store

Life has been great to me, probably better than any man has the right to expect. At home, I’ve been blessed with a wife and family who’ve stuck to together and loved each other and indulged my lifelong obsession with minding the store. ”

Ben Affleck will portray the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder’s Superman vs. Batman.  Though Affleck was Oscar snubbed this year as a director, the film he directed won Best Picture.

And let’s be honest, when it comes to directing films, Snyder is going to need all of the help he can get.

54.6% mean rottentomatoes score

Whereas Ben’s is 94.6%as a director.

“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some” said Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production atWarner Bros. earlier today. “His outstanding career is a testament to his talent and we know he and Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this character.”

“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman,” added director Snyder. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”

“We are so thrilled that Ben is continuing Warner Bros.’ remarkable legacy with the character of Batman,” continued Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution President Sue Kroll. He is a tremendously gifted actor who will make this role his own in this already much-anticipated pairing of these two beloved heroes.”

Warner Bros. has a longstanding relationship with Affleck. His most recent hit for the studio was 2012’s Argo, which won Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards. Affleck’s next directorial effort, Live By Night, will also be produced by Warner.

The film will be penned by Snyder and Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer, and is currently slated to open worldwide on July 17, 2015. The sequel will reunite Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams and Diane Lane.

Man of Steel has taken in more than $630 million at the worldwide box office to date.

UPDATE:

Superman Vs. Batman will film in Detroit, Michigan.

The Voice of Hope

She lights up a room with her enthusiasm. And she knows what needs to be done.

She has given voice to so many people.

But, there is problem. The culture is stuck. For a long time, few had understood or paid attention to her voice.

Now, some are beginning to listen. Yes, the system is badly flawed, in a rut, and much of the time making the problem worse. But, we can’t afford it anymore, both in fiscal terms and human terms.  Government officials across the States and other countries are starting to come to see for themselves.

THERE IS A BETTER WAY.

Government institutions only serve the people running the system, they are making a good living off the difficulties of some of us – those who get trapped with the “unjustice ‘justice’ system” and the “unhealthy ‘health’ system” – yes, they are TRYING to help – but good intentions are not enough.

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” – Albert Einstein

Celestial Warfare 1

Disney’s D23 EXPO this past weekend teased a multitude of possibilities including an entire Star Wars theme park.  Star Wars Land will be added to Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL., but will likely not open until 2018.

Star Wars Episode VII‘s script apparently is still being heavily doctored but the film will start shooting in 2014.  Casting news thus far has been slim; but actor Ian McDiarmid has been confirmed recast as Senator Palpatine despite that characters untimely demise.  Palapatine did have an apprentice however, which many think will serve as one of the main villains in the film.  The 7th installment will focus on the offspring of Han Solo and Princess Leia.
