That’s Good!

“You are who you are!  From the time you were born, and I don’t think it changes. It never did for me.”

“I don’t know what it is..

I don’t know..”

Yes, Larry, I know you don’t know: it’s called Temperament

“When you are working hard, and focused.  You don’t think about it.  You just do it.” — Larry

“If it is funny to me…”

yada, yada, yada…

Charlie Rose: “SO you are a guy that can’t say no.  But you want to say no.  You made a character that can say no, because you can’t say no.”

Larry David: “THAT’S GOOD!

YOU’VE GOT IT!

You are a good, Charlie.

That’s the best therapy I ever had.”

Charlie Rose: Who is Larry David?

Larry David: Who do the hell knows!  I don’t know!

Lawrence GeneLarryDavid, Composer Artisan, (born July 2, 1947) is an American comedian, writer, actor, and television producer. He was the co-creator, with Jerry Seinfeld, of the television series Seinfeld, and was its head writer and executive producer from 1989 to 1996. David has subsequently gained further recognition for the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm, also created by David, in which he stars as a semi-fictionalized version of himself.

David’s work won him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1993. Formerly a standup comedian, David went into television comedy, writing and starring in ABC’s Fridays, as well as writing briefly for Saturday Night Live. He has won two Primetime Emmy Awards as well as being voted by fellow comedians and comedy insiders as number 23 of the greatest comedy stars ever in a British poll to select The Comedian’s Comedian. Yep, Larry David is brilliant and successful, but not particularly introspective.  But very observant and FUNNY!  But he doesn’t know how or why.  IT’S JUST FUNNY.

More than the other Artisans, Composers are in tune with their senses, and so have a sure grasp of what belongs, and what doesn’t belong, in all kinds of works of art. While the other Artisans are skilled with people, tools, and entertainment, Composers have an exceptional ability-seemingly inborn-to work with subtle differences in color, tone, texture, aroma, and flavor.

Although Composers often put long, lonely hours into their artistry, they are just as impulsive as the other Artisans. They do not wait to consider their moves; rather, they act in the here and now, with little or no planning or preparation. Composers are seized by the act of artistic composition, as if caught up in a whirlwind. The act is their master, not the reverse. Composers paint or sculpt, they dance or skate, they write melodies or make recipes-or whatever-simply because they must. They climb the mountain because it is there. [Please Understand Me II]

“That’s perfect.”

Except Charlie Rose, an Idealist, and Larry David, an Artisan, do not know Temperament.  Too bad, but maybe it’s better for both of them.  Charlie wouldn’t be probe for authenticity as much, and Larry wouldn’t be as spontaneous and funny with more self-reflection.
