Agreed. And becoming someone else is intriguing and exciting...for a time. Then you just feel...dirty and you want to be yourself again. I think I enjoy becoming someone else just to get a feel for things their way...how things are going in their head and such. But then I feel...dirty (it's really the best word I can find to describe the feeling) and must break free. It's usually quite hard to get out of that. It means being completely conscious of your actions and thoughts.
Yea Shay, I agree with you. I certainly see how it can make you feel dirty. But, i think that if you are grounded enough, it shouldnt pose any danger for you to lose yourself in mimicking another's character. The reason i say this is because i do think that no matter how anyone claim they can read someone, you really cant even attempt to understand another until you put urself in their shoes. I know ENFPs and INFPs do that...i think i learned from them...dunno. Thus, i do think it is a good tool (used correctly that is). It can be dangerous for someone who isnt grounded, because they are seriously in risk of losing who they are (if they even have a self identity). But, i think introverts have less of this problem? I also think that is it the only way someone can really try to understand another, as opposed to just "reading" or (what i call projecting yourself into others).
