Four Temperament SubForums

Postby stellarrenegade on Sat Apr 24, 2010 2:13 pm

I propose a subforum for each temperament in the main Keirsey Temperament Theory subforum. Why? Less clutter, for one (very appealing to a Rational, no? ;)) but for another, it will probably inspire more focus on each individual temperament. I'm not going to go so far as to say each type should have its own subforum, at least not yet, unless we end up getting way more traffic. But four new subforums should probably do the trick.

Because I had a sudden idea just now to create threads about each individual aspect of each temperament, such as for Artisans: Hedonism, Optimism, Cynicism, In-the-Moment-ism. It could be very edumacational. Image :ugeek:

So whaddya say, Dave? Surely you can't argue with that.

A rational can argue with anything  .

I agree though. I was actually thinking about this earlier today. I think it would help to have a specific forum to post things that relate to specific temperaments but aren't "love" related.

They can, but I've noticed that as a Responder, Dave tends to be pretty receptive and flexible. Traits which make for an excellent admin. ;)

It's already a maze of subforums!

You wish to isolate me! I'm going to end up alone in my own forum!

I learn a lot from the interplay.

Even if I don't like everything, I learn to recognize temperament when interacting.

I think you guys must misunderstand. Those of different temperaments wouldn't be isolated to various subforums, those subforums would just be there for the purpose of anyone wanting to discuss a specific temperament.

hah. It's not really a maze.

Besides, I just use the Active Topics screen, it clumps everything recent together in the same grouping. There's no way to get lost in that.

I understand what you're saying, but for me to learn, it is easier to compare them.

If the primary purpose of this forum is to see how the different temperaments react to one another, there is more to gain by having all the topics together. Some subforums will probably receive far more traffic than others, and people may tend to check (or contribute to) their own subforum more often.

To the tune of the Sex Pistols....I am an anarchist...subforum, oh yes, but wouldn't I technically be in a subforum, of a subforum of a sub forum within a forum.. :?:

The bigger question here, being...can we possibly be subforum contributors of ourselves within a subforum in the forum :?:

How far can we take this, temperament into idealists, idealists into healers, healers into female and male healers, then by nationality, then by age, then by....what comes next :?:

I would be supportive of whatever we decide. It's all good. >:Y!<
I would start with stripping down to what fundamentally informs my life, which is that I'm a seeker on the path...where I stand spiritually is, steadfastly, on a path about love.. (Bell Hooks)
