Hi

Hi there,

I am new to this board.
Around 2000 I read, with my ex-girlfriend, a book that changed my life. It was Goddesses in Everywoman. After that we of course also read the male version (Gods in everyman).
It was so incredible giving to get words for what I kind of knew for a long time. I'm different than most people, but it's not because there is anything wrong with me.

Later I was lucky to stumple upon the DiSCover profile which my exgirlfriend had to do at a course or something.

By the way, she is ISFJ (or in Keirseyan: Protector) and I am ENTP (inventor), so as you can imagine, there was a lot to talk about :-)

A few years later I was introducted to MBTI. The change was less, because I already knew about personalititypes, but I, as an inventor, obviously immidiately saw that MBTI had much more potential than the Gods/Goddesses. I was of course all into it, and have held two seminars about the basics about MBTI and personalitytypes in general.
During my preparation I of course read all of the internet (really I didn't, it just looked like it) and eventually also the "Please Understand ME II".

Well, years went by. I keep telling my friends all now and then about personalitytypes, but it kind of got less intense for me and people around me.

The last August I got a new job, as a teacher. And I had to find out what was usefull to communicate, teach and raise these youngsters. And resently I convinced myself that the personality of the young people plays a huge role and that I would try to use my understanding of this to reach the students better. And hopefully also be able to give this to my colleges. And in that process I had to re-read the whole internet. And I found you. Aren't you happy :D

As you might have guessed already I am not teaching English. Sorry for all the errors that I made, but please bear with me, I'm not stupid, just not native English speaker.

Edit: Why doesn't my type show up in the right corner?

Välkomna DaDane. :D

I understand your english, pretty good, not sure my swedish is comparable.

Yes, Keirsey temperament study and theory is nothing short of amazing.

Lots to read here, (and talk, ask questions, discuss....).

Your temperament icon is in user control panel->profile->edit temperament->display gallery and remember to click on submit. I think that should bring it on screen.
I would start with stripping down to what fundamentally informs my life, which is that I'm a seeker on the path...where I stand spiritually is, steadfastly, on a path about love.. (Bell Hooks)

Do you live in Sweden? Or did you? Or neither?

Yes, that's what I thought too.
It seems to work only if you have an avatar. I didn't before, but now I took on Bugs Bunny. He's an ENTP too, or at least so they claim

Welcome, welcome.

Your English is probably better than some native English speakers - you're taught all the correct grammar, while we can get a bit lazy...

Enjoy this place!

Sup! You seem fairly entertaining. Now WindyHill and you can compare notes and show us differences and similarities between your two types. :D

Read the whole internet, eh? You a fan of Gore, then? ;)

Also, is your signature a not-so-subtle stab at me or are you just trying on my type for size?

I haven't seen to much of what WindyHill writes, but I'm sure it'll be entertaining.

Actually not. I just didn't knew what to write in my signature, so I wanted to play smart and have some selfreference in my signature.
As you see I do have a signature, even though my signature kind of pretend that I don't. That's the joke.

But of course I did see you signature before I made mine. Actually I considered doing the same thing, - collecting a lot of different Inventor-type famous people. But it didn't care to spend the time needed to do it properly.
I don't need a signature to promote myself.

Hey!

DaDane is from Denmark, and there they speak DANISH.

Olga lives in Sweden and speaks SWEDISH.

As for me, my mother tongue is NORWEGIAN, which connects me to Norway.

These three languages are slightly understandable to each other, with some practice and explanation.

It's funny actually. Norwegean is much more understandable than Danish when it comes to listening.

But when it comes to reading, then Danish is a winner. Except for some words that might have a totally different meaning than in Swedish.

However, if these nations meet abroad or travel inside these countries, they will always use their own language to communicate. But the Danes will have more difficulty in Sweden than Norwegeans, unless they stay in south Sweden, where people might understand them better.
