Regarding the *new* site changes!

Postby Azure on Fri Feb 13, 2009 5:39 am

Yikes! I think my lesson must be ~ Don't walk away from something for too long & expect it to be the same when you return! ~

Geez ~ I must have missed any notifications which may have gone out regarding the changes, so I was quite surprised when I could not log in & had to re-register. {Although at least that allowed me to change my name, which I wanted to do long ago & was unable to do.} :P

So, hello everyone! At this point though I have no longer have friends or anything!!! If you had been one of my friends, please do whatever needs to be done to establish a friendship status again. I still haven't figured this all out yet!!

Oh ~ in case this might help you to remember me, I was *PersonalityChamp552* before all of the changes here.

Hey Azure!
So wonderful to see you here again!
Guess what, guess what, guess what !!! I'm an A student!

I've missed you horribly!
Will you go check in the education forum to see what I've posted?
I bet you've got some brilliant Idealist insight for me regarding being in a classroom.
I don't sit still and I talk a lot and I laugh a lot --> In class.
It is glorious.

Tell us what you've been doing.

This forum had a past life?

I knew it!

Welcome Azure, I may well have been a friend in past life, but it's all a little fuzzy. :D I think I arrived here from planet google, back in October. It's a fun place.
I would start with stripping down to what fundamentally informs my life, which is that I'm a seeker on the path...where I stand spiritually is, steadfastly, on a path about love.. (Bell Hooks)

Azure, jango is a young person who has recently joined us on site.
Jango has a lot of questions about bully behavior at school.
Because of your background in education, I was hoping that you could share some good insight into the best way for a 12 year old Idealist to effectively deal with bullying.

Welcome back, Azure. I don't know if you'll remember me or not, but I was formerly JMlover. I joined Personality Zone about a month or two before the change. I vaguely remember you. I only met and really remember a few from over there...mkb, unders, Jack, Estanford.

Hi Jango! Yes, I'm retired after 32 years, & I taught your age too ~ 5th & 6th graders. Loved them! :D

So, mkb32 says you're having issues with bullying? Grrrr ~ that is a real pet peeve of mine. :o The first thing I would ask is what kind of bullying is it, if it's not too embarrassing for your to say, & what have you done so far about it? :?:

Hi ShayShay ~

Thanks for the welcome. I joined sometime in 2008, but now I don't recall when.

Another Champion, eh? Yey! It's strange that I could live in a small town my whole life where having my "over-the-top" ideas scrutinized even though they clearly had positive impact, still I was/am viewed as, at the very least, "eccentric." Actually I never minded the eccentric stigma, but there were plenty of *set-in-their-way* folks who considered me just plain NUTZ! :o

I make light of it now, but I can admit I've had numerous hurtful encounters, :( always due to judgments gone awry about my motives. In my 50’s I began spending a lot of time in the San Francisco Bay area. :D (A LOT of time!) Before coming to Personality Zone it was the only place where I was consistently viewed as being highly creative instead of an oddball. In fact I met more than several people in the northern CA area who actually said, "I've never met anyone so creative!" That shocked me at the time, as you can imagine, since I was coming from a very backward PA locale. I hate to admit, years of feeling constant scepticism & doubt had already begun to eat away at my own psyche! :?

Yet I can come here & meet so many like-minded Idealists & in particular Champions! Yes, it is GREAT to meet another "crazy Champion lady," Shay!
