If it is IRC, I would suggest getting the Pidgin universal client. Like Trillian, it does all of your standard chat software like AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, etc., but it also does IRC. I found it easy to use (but I had done IRC before a million years ago when I was pointed toward it) and could talk you through it if need be.

I'll be there if I can get the IRC thing to work....(it seems complicated)

I'm getting an Error 432 message.....it was saying something about a bad nickname. Any suggestions? I already emailed the IceChat support about the problem.
