See... it never stops... I think if we cracked your head open we would discover what the sun is made of...?
If I could learn to have patience, I might not have to re-invent the wheel every day...?

Aargh, but who made the yellow dwarf?
------------------------------------------------

*My will shall shape the future.
Whether I fail or succeed shall be no person's doing but my own.
I am the force;
I can clear any obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze.
My choice; my responsibility; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny
*.

~(Elaine Maxwell)
-----------------------------------

From Uncle Bertrand Russell:

Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].

Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.

Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart
Of children in famine, of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.

This has been my life; I found it worth living.

The Summer Day

Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean-
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down-
who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.
I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?

~(Mary Oliver)

"Being is desirable because it is identical with Beauty, and Beauty is loved because it is Being.
We ourselves possess Beauty when we are true to our own being; ugliness is in going over to another order; knowing ourselves, we are beautiful; in self-ignorance, we are ugly
.”

~Plotinus

"Remember that consciousness is power.

Consciousness is education and knowledge.

Consciousness is becoming aware.

It is the perfect vehicle for students.

Consciousness-raising is pertinent for power, and be sure that power will not be abusively used, but used for building trust and goodwill domestically and internationally.

Tomorrow's world is yours to build.
"

~~ Yuri Kochiyama

"Place yourself in the middle of the stream of power and wisdom which flows into you as life, place yourself in the full center of that flood, then you are without effort impelled to truth, to right, and a perfect contentment."

~~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
--------------------------------

"People travel to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering."

~~ St Augustine Quotes
---------------------------------

"To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kind that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude."

~Albert Schweitzer
---------------------------------------------

Live with intention.
Walk to the edge.
Listen hard.
Practice wellness.
Play with abandon.
Laugh.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Continue to learn.
Do what you love.
Live as if this is all there is
.”

~Mary Anne Radmacher
--------------------------------------

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes closed."

~Albert Einstein
--------------------------------------

"Be brave enough to live life creatively.

The creative is the place where no one else has ever been.

You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition.

You cannot get there by bus, only by hard work and risk and by not quite knowing what you're doing.

What you'll discover will be wonderful.

What you'll discover will be yourself.
"

~Alan Alda

"There is no end. There is no beginning.

There is only the infinite passion of life
."

~Federico Fellini

NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY — by Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Mmmm....perhaps they don't accept it because they can't...because they don't understand it... so...they are not educated in that case. Plus, I think you can entertain a thought and not accept it simply because you don't want to believe its true.... not just that you know its not true.

I just read a perfect Idealist quote... if only.
The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.-- Carl Jung

That's not quite how I interpreted it. But yes, I suppose that works too.

I interepreted it as: actually look into things just because they don't seem to be in line with your own beliefs doesn't mean you have to accept them.

How about you?
