Hello, I'm new here so I really hope I'm doing this right.
Both of the people I would nominate for these awards have now left us but I see that hasn't stopped others from being honored thusly so here we go.
First: Randy Pausch (and I saw a link around here to The Last Lecture so I know our esteemed boardmeister is a fan). The Last Lecture is the most amazing speech I've ever seen. It just didn't do the same thing for me in book form- it's Pausch's spirit that comes through in the delivery that makes it so extraordinary. I'll admit that I have a difficult time deciding which temperament he is and that's unusual for me, usually I can type people pretty quickly. He definitely seems Rational at times but then there's so much dreamer in him I relate to him as an Idealist (I'd love to hear the expert's thoughts...)
Second: Margaret Moth, CNN Photojournalist. They filmed a documentary about her called 'Fearless" and she truly was. She returned to Sarajevo after being shot in the face by a sniper and worked for many years in warzones after that before passing away from cancer only weeks ago. What a magnificent woman she was.
I know that there's a bevy of Artisans to choose from (and with her cigar smoking, drinking with the boys and parachuting from planes to relax ways I believe she must've been one) but I really think she deserves consideration.
Glad to be here,
~bru
